Creative Inspiration
In my perpetual desire to expand my understanding, taste, and skills, I’ve read hundreds of home design books; of all of them, Erica Tanov’s Design By Nature: Creating Layered, Lived-In Spaces is my current favorite. It’s a treasure trove of moody, evocative photographs held together by thoughtful text that reveals and celebrates the artistic processes of translating what is beloved in the natural world to what works within our most intimate built spaces. More than anything, I find myself deeply and specifically inspired in my own creativity—some of it entirely unrelated to home—by every page.
