Celebrating the Summer Solstice Together

This year, the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere falls on Sunday, June 20 (the same as Father’s Day), at 10:32 p.m. Central Daylight Time, marking the moment when the North Pole is at its furthest tilt toward the sun and launching a new season—my personal favorite, summer. I will offer a free, hour-long solstice practice via Zoom starting at 10:00 p.m. CDT on Sunday, June 20, to allow an intersection of our time together with the official moment of the solstice. (Here is the link to the Zoom call.) We’ll begin with breath work, followed by a yin yoga practice to prepare our bodies, minds, and spirits for the last half hour of yoga nidra guided meditation. Given the late hour and the nature of yin and nidra, you may fall deeply asleep! This summer solstice celebration will bring us full circle since last year’s, and then I plan to rest this particular practice until possibly the summer solstice of 2022. Please feel free to forward this invitation to anyone you think may want to join us in our grounding, liberating, joyful gathering!
